KJo asks Maheep Kapoor: Is Shalini Passi’s growing popularity a threat

The latest season of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, titled Fabulous Live Vs Bollywood Wives this time, has been garnering a lot of attention, thanks to Shalini Passi. She has emerged as the star of the show, becoming the IT girl with people loving her attitude and her one-liners. It is safe to say that she has overshadowed the others, even the OGs who have been there in the previous three seasons. So, do the ‘Bollywood Wives’ feel threatened by Passi getting more limelight?
That was precisiely the question that Karan Johar, who has produced the show, asked Maheep Kapoor in a new video that he shared on Instagram. In the video, Karan tried to roast Maheep’s bag, getting roasted instead as she reveals it was gifted to her by him. He then asks her, “How does it feel that Shalini Passi is getting so much attention on this show? Are you feelin threatened?”
When she refused to answer and said that he was giving her a headache, Karan Johar cheekily asked, “Has her popularity given you a headache?” Kapoor’s reaction to it then is priceless. Watch the video here:

Earlier, at the Business Today Most Powerful Women Awards, Shalini Passi spoke about emerging as the IT girl and said, “I never wanted to be the ‘it’ girl because I am not the ‘it’ girl. It’s my personal style. I was just having fun. I thought people might not like it because it’s a little maximalist. The makeup artist told me not to put so many clips, but I just wanted to.”
Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives also stars Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kalyani Saha. It features special appearances by Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Ananya Panday, Chunky Pandey and many other Bollywood faces. The show is currently streaming on Netflix.
